He was predeceased by : his father David Parrish. He is survived by : his mother Adelfa Parrish; his siblings, David Parrish (Louise), Gloria Ayala (Ray), Richard Parrish (Terry), Thelma Garza and Frank Parrish (Carol); and his aunts, Marina Gonzalez and Dalia Rosales. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ed was outgoing, charismatic, and loved music, singing and entertaining. He graduated from Austin HS in Houston and attended the University of Houston. During his early years in school, he demonstrated his talents as a performer by winning numerous awards and recognition for speech and drama. These talents and interests motivated his desire as an adult to perform in musical theater productions across the country.
Later in life, he was an entertaining hair stylist and had a loyal following of clients, family, and friends.
All services are to be held at Forest Park, 6900 Lawndale in the Grand Chapel as follows:
Family vigil and visitation on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 4:00 pm. to 5:00 pm; public visitation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm including a rosary at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by grave site service at 11:00 a.m.
