She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walter "Dempsey" and Julia Ann Rushton Bell. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Dawn, Candace Laraine, Holly Anna and Vanessa Estelle; her husband William A. Davis, Sr.; and her son Bill, Jr. (Kathie). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Among many other things, her three-time battle with and defeat of cancer and her patience in the debilitating grip of Alzheimer's serve as brilliant examples of courage and grace.
