She was predeceased by: her parents, Errett D. Gipson and Gladys Gipson (Griffith); her former husband Donald Roy Phelps; her daughter Beth Ann Phelps (Edward Ray Brantley); her siblings, Bertie Lou Williams and Errett Dee Gipson, Jr.; and her granddaughter Sara Courtney Martin.

She is survived by: her husband Jerome Shamrock of Cameron; her children, Kathy Dee Franco of Cypress and Dana Clay Phelps of Ft. Worth, Texas.; her children-in-law, James Franco and Rebecca Phelps; her grandchildren, Donald Cory Phelps and Emily Taylor Franco; her grandson-in-law Brian Martin; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Martin, Hayden Phelps, Dustin Phelps and Bentley Phelps.

Memorials may be made to Methodist Children's home in Waco, in leu of flowers.
