Germaine Sylvester Kvinta Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2025, at the age of 92, Germaine Sylvester Kvinta of Houston, Texas, born in Opelousas, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John Frank Kvinta Jr.; her parents, Wilfred Sylvester and Olivia Lafleur Sylvester; her siblings, Reverend Wilfred Sylvester, Rose Robert, Mary Pitre, Dolores Cormier and Barbara Ziegler; her granddaughter Michelle Bergeron; and her grandparents, David Kvinta, Shelby Kvinta and Mark Kvinta.

She is survived by: her son John Kvinta; her daughter-in-law Jan Kvinta of Sugarland; her grandchild Kelsey Kvinta; her son Paul Kvinta; her daughter-in-law Becky Kurtz of Atlanta; her granddaughter Marcela Kvinta; her daughter Kamala Bergeron; her great grandchildren, Benjamin Bergeron, George Giese and Eli Hoard; her siblings, Berchman Sylvester of Opelousas and Monica Cooper of Huntsville; her sisters-in-law, Hattie Kvinta of Houston, Emily Polasek of Houston and Margie Kvinta of Yoakum, Texas; Matthew Manning, Brian Bergeron of Houston, Emily Bergeron, Olivia, Noah Giese, Jacque and Adam Hoard. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heights Funeral Home (1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008). A rosary will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (215 E 10th St, Houston, TX 77008). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery (7801 Gulf Fwy, Dickinson, TX 77539).
