He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Oscar Swinford and Elgie Maude Cooper Swinford; his son Danny Swinford of Dallas, Texas; his brother Wayne Swinford; and his half-siblings, Lonnie Alton Teague, Eugene Swinford, Limon Woodrow Swinford, Ruth Bowen, Mildred Reese and Marvin Swinford.
He is survived by: his children, Steven (Sherry Swinford) of Ruidoso, Chris (Cindy Swinford) of Magnolia, Texas, Kerry McDonough of Boerne, Texas and Kirk Swinford of Houston, Texas.; his grandchildren, Cheryl McCollum, Matthew Swinford, Shannon Jimenez, Sarah Vantreese, Samantha Swinford and Sophia Swinford; and his brother Dale Swinford. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
