She is survived by: her husband Morris Plattenburg; her son Charleston Mitchell (Rhonda); her siblings, Patsy Brown, Trence (LaTricia) and Lamonte Hicks; her grandchildren, Cade and Cara Mitchell; her siblings' children, Brianna Johnson-Jenkins (Melvin), Camille Hollinger-O'Quinn (Jacob), Bruce Brown, Alvin Hollinger III and William Hicks; and her cousins, Marjorie Brown, Billy L. McCanick, Airy Hatton (Rayvelt), Carlos Jackson and Michael Jackson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the Troy B. Smith Professional Services Chapel (9013 Scott St, Houston, TX 77051). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the Paradise South Cemetery (2237 Cullen Pkwy, Pearland, TX 77581).
