He was predeceased by: his son Jose Julian Escalante. He is survived by: his wife Evangelina Escalante; his children, Jesus Jr. III, David and Maria Escalante; and his daughter-in-law Melissa Balderas (Jesus). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
