It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Opiela (Houston, Texas), who passed away on December 22, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Opiela and Teresa Opiela (Kowalik); his siblings, Ordel "Beaver" Opiela and Eva Opiela; and his nephew Tellie Opelia.
He is survived by: his siblings, Leo "Whitey" Opelia, Vernon Kingston and Dennis "Dog" Kingston; his nieces, Leah Benford and Destiny Freasier; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Danielle Middleton, Michael Benford, Lane Patterson, Sandie Opiela, Tellie Opelia, Janell Kingston, Jason Molina Kingston, Wendy and Crystal Kingston. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends.
