He is survived by: his spouse Cloye Turner Shannon; his siblings, Peter B. Shannon and Adelyn Cook (Paddy); his children, Joseph Robert Shannon III (Ann), Daniel Farrall Shannon (Gail), Jerry Shannon (Amy), Carol Shannon Willis (David) and Sally Shannon Theodosis Hanis (Craig); and his stepson Warren Evan Settegast. He is also survived by grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
