He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Case and Vera Case; and his brother Robert Case. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Curlee; his daughter Kristin Case (Nancy O'Neil); his granddaughter Kaelyn; his son David (Tamera); and his grandchildren, Rex, Savanna and Frances.
He received the Quality Oklahoma Award and the Oklahoma Medal for Excellence in College/University Teaching from the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence.
