He was predeceased by : his parents, Leone Smith and LeDell William Clay, Sr.. He is survived by : his wife Terri D. Clay; his child Zavier Clay; his daughters-in-law, Mitzy Clay and Shanderika Pierce; his sisters, Janica and Sara Clay; and his stepbrother Jermaine Walker. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:55 AM at 4027 Irvington Blvd, Houston, TX 77009. A memorial service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
