She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Wachel and Josephine Wachel; and her siblings, Leon Wachel and Josie Finley. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Michael (Rebecca), Sara and Scott; her grandchildren, Ashlee and Chase; and her siblings, Leona Hruska (Leroy), Barbara Harvey (Jay) and Ernest Wachel (Wanda). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Marie asked that donations be made to the Humane Society of Houston in her memory.
