He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Mollie Kaplan and Louis Kaplan; his wife Joan; his children, Karen Brooks (Roy), Susan Bruch and Rick Kaplan (Debbie); his grandchildren, Harris Brooks, Emily Singletary (Taft), Sarah Brooks, Ford Bruch, Brooke Kaplan, Jordan Kaplan and Michael Kaplan; his great grandchild Sloane Singletary; and his brother Jerry Kaplan.
