It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Mergele of Houston, Texas, born in Sour Lake, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Rector Gardner Proctor and Mary Maud Burney; her husband Ed Mergele; and her children, Edwin W. III (Terry), Stephen Proctor (Deborah), Bruce John and Jane Elizabeth (Dane Gourley). She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
