She was predeceased by: her father Jose Rios; her father-in-law Joe Mottu; her grandmother Manuela Chapa Vasquez; and her aunts and uncles, Sergio X Vasquez, Miguel Vasquez, Pete Vasquez, Apolonio Zuniga, Penny McDonald and Arcelia Rios.
She is survived by: her mother Lupita Rios-Wahl; her husband Joe Luis Gutierrez; her daughter Joanna Rios-Garza; her son-in-law Mitch Garza; her daughter Mikayla Rios-Gutierrez; her granddaughter Isabella Garza; her stepfather Bruce Wahl; her sister Joanna Hinojosa; her brother-in-law Kenneth Hinojosa; her sister Mary Rios; her mother-in-law Rosa Gutierrez; her siblings-in-law, Leonilo Casares, Iseah Martinez and Olivia Mottu; and her stepsiblings, Michael Wahl, Sgt. Kenneth Wahl, Kimberly Wahl and Mary Brown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Missy quietly departed this life, due to Covid-19, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Southeast Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas surrounded by her loved ones.
