He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Day Bowers and Connie Stewart Bowers; his brothers, Danial Wayne Miley, Sam Krouse Bowers and Mike Krouse Bowers; his siblings' children, Abra Delaine Hudgins and Jordan Pangarakis; and his brother-in-law Victor Brewer.

He is survived by: his wife Monique Lunsford Bowers; his children, Ashton Bowers and Taylor Bowers; his stepdaughter Madeline McGourty; his stepgrandchildren, Logan and Emma Lundell; his siblings, Willa Renee Brewer (Cricket), Celeste Pangarakis (Gary), Paula Sawnberg (Mark), Rhonda Brown (Richard), Valerie Waldron (Bill) and Paul Chris Rau; and his nephew Conrad Day Robertson (Sofia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
