He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Cynthia Swearingen, Edgar and Ruby Sorsby; and his niece Emily Swearingen Jayroe. He is survived by : his parents, W. V. Swearingen (Pete) and Mildred Swearingen; his siblings, Will Swearingen (Christine) and Patricia Cugini (John); his niece Sabrina Vaughn (David); and his aunt Mary Cullum.
