He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Uvaldo R. Vera, Anita Vera and Trinidad Martinez; and his aunt Silvia Vera. He is survived by: his pet Shorty; his parents, Norma Slinker (Steven Moncrief) of Gainesville and Trinidad Martinez Jr. (Julie) of San Antonio; his brothers, Trinidad Martinez III (Vegonia) of San Antonio and Steven Richard Martinez (Sandra) of Edinburg; and his uncle Steve Vera (Irma) of Harlingen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
