He was predeceased by: his father William Laffayette Stovall; his brother William Laffayette Stovall, Jr. (Bill); and his aunt Genevieve "Jadie" Adams. He is survived by: his significant other Leonard Tharp; his sisters, Amy Echols and Anita Smith; his siblings' children, Sarah Karges, Will Karges, Ian Smith, William Collins Smith and MaryNell Smith; his great-nephew William Smith; his friend Tom; James Echols and Eddie Smith.
