He was predeceased by: his parents, W. B. Stringer and Hazel Stringer; his siblings, William Stringer (Bill), Jack Stringer and Jo-An Furlow; and his parents-in-law, Jack and Tommie Tankersley.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Stringer; his sons, Matthew Stringer, Daniel Stringer (Rachel) and Adam Stringer; his grandchildren, Ivory Stringer, Kingston Stringer and Grayson Maybray; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Stringer, Judy Stringer and John Tankersley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
