He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomasita Reyes Muniz and Hubano Muniz; and his brothers, Paul and Steve. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Muniz; and his sons, Jeremy Muniz, Randy Muniz and Joey Muniz.

Urbano was a devoted volunteer at the Villa de Matel for 21 years, as well as a beloved friend of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word and the Passionists Priests and Brothers.
