She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Grant, Sr. and Lucretia Grant; her sister Sheryl Whittie; her children, Kermit Henson (Miriam), Katerina Phillips (Melvin) and Kanita Smith (Carl Sr.); her stepsons, Reginald "Keith" Johnson and Edward "Dee" Henry, Sr. (Patrice); her siblings, James Grant, Jr. (Doyce), Timothy Grant, Sr. (Relinda), Calvin Grant (Julie), Bertram Grant, Sr. (Ruth), Marvin Grant, Ervin Grant (Sondra), Michael Grant (Eva), Reginald Grant, Sr. (Cynthia), Bryan Grant (Deborah), Joyce Hayes, Bobbie Dickson and Carol Grant; her sister-in-law Cassandra Johnson; her grandchildren, Richandra "Rich" (Oto), Roger, Demetria (Elza), Carl "CJ" Jr. (Brittany), Kaneisha, Edward Jr., Kurtrionna "Kurty" and Ahamajri; her great grandchildren, Emani, Zaylyn, Zaylaa, Essence, Zariah and Camden; her goddaughters, Christina Pullings and Gracelyn Stewart; and her close friend Gloria Collins. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
