He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Warren Sexton; and his grandparents, Laurence, Mary Sexton, Jake and Lillie Marie Hamblen.
He is survived by: his mother Joan Hamblen Sexton of Dallas, Texas; his spouse Dee Dee Keener Sexton; his children, Nienke Josephine Sexton of Houston and Timothy Ian Sexton of Bryan, Texas.; his siblings, J. Ellen Guiling (Doug) of Dallas, Texas and Scott H. Sexton of Austin, Texas; his stepsons, Aaron Keener (Karen) of Roy and Matthew Keener; his stepgrandchildren, Devon Keener, Michael Keener, Audrey Keener, Carter Keener, Kimbel Keener and Junah Keener; his nieces, Jenny Cho (Andy), Rebecca Guiling and Joanie Barnes (Reid); and his siblings-in-law, Toni Waldrep (David), Terrie Thrasher (Wesley) and Shannon Keener.
