He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Fitzgerald and Emma Sullivan; his wife Opal; his siblings, Joseph Fitzgerald (Teloir) and Rita Hollands (George); and his brother-in-law Norman Ganslen.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Nelda Jean Bevolo (Jimmy Bevelo), George Eric Tuten (Lourdes Tuten), William Gary Tuten (Linda Tuten), Obie Tuten (Flo Tuten), Thomas Calvin Tuten (Robbie Tuten) and Dorothy Marie Klein; his sister Doris Ganslen; and his sibling's children, Gregory, Nora Jean, Beth Ganslen, Joanne Hollinger (Drew), Karen Bingel, Dennis, Kevin Fitzgerald, Thomas and William Hollands (Arlene). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, many great nieces and nephews, plus a host of good friends.
Being a veteran of WWII, he provided support for his favorite charity, the Wounded Warrior Foundation. In addition, his heart directed him to support the St. Jude Charitable Foundation.
