He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Minchew and Emily Faye Minchew (Swope); his wife Frances Joye Minchew (Barker); his son Roger Dale Minchew; and his siblings, Delma Faye Jenny, Ruby King and Jim Minchew.
He is survived by: his close friend Zelda Abbe; his daughters, Julia Hunter (Dwayne) and Charlene Land (Jeff); his granddaughter Cassidy Land; his nephew Kent Minchew (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Sonya Cheyne and Alan Heckler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home - BIG Spring (906 S Gregg St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church -BIG Spring (705 FM700, Big Spring, TX 79720). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery.
