He is survived by: his siblings, Travis Burkett, Noel Burkett, Eva Brasier, Nona Mendez and Ona Mae Strain; his siblings' children, Sonya Renee Burkett and Benny Vern Burkett II; his grandchildren, Samantha Carol Wood and Brandon Lee Wood; and his great grandchild Oliver Luck Sierra.
