She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Lee Young and Opal McFarland Young; her stepchildren, Donna Outland and Joe Simerly Jr.; and her husband Joe Simerly.
She is survived by: her son Clate Simerly; her granddaughter Alicia Dolezal (Johnny Lee Mathis Jr.); her great grandchildren, Carolyn Gonzales (Nicholas Gonzales) and Johnny Lee Mathis III; and her great great grandchildren, Avery Gonzales, Velma Mathis and Violet Mathis.
