He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Faye (York) and Ivy Timothy Lovett; his daughter Terrye Lynn Adams; his granddaughter Tara Adams; and his former wife Gracie Lovett.

He is survived by: his wife Clara Lovett of Huntington; his sons, Ted Allen (Camille) of Huntington, Kerry Royce Lovett of Strawberry and Michael Lovett of Porter; his stepchildren, Gene Thornton of Brookeland, Nita Brasher (Kevin) of Lufkin, Scott Thornton (Cecelia Thornton) of Lufkin and Jay Thornton (Natalie) of Lufkin; his son-in-law Allen Adams of Lufkin; his siblings, James A. Lovett (Beverly) of Huntington, Gerald Lovett of Huntington, Judy Alexander (Jim) of Lufkin, Margie Clark of Huntington, Elaine (Paul Bonner), Dolores (Jack Elliott) and Jennifer Randall; and his brother-in-law Gene Clark. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rocky Springs/Old Center Cemetery.
