With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elsa Gladis Avelar of Huntsville, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Angel Mancia Sandoval and Maria Magdalena Duarte Lara; and her siblings, Milagro Mancia, Nora Mancia and Trine Mancia.

She is survived by: her children, Maria Guishard, Nuria Ardon, Wilber Ardon and Edgar Ardon; her grandchildren, Glenn Guishard, Anthony Guishard, Angelito Ardon, Gabriel Ardon, Jacob Ardon, Zachery Ardon and Abraham Ardon; her great grandchild Edgar Orlando Ardon; and her brother Miguel Mancia.

A wake will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at 214 Phelps Dr, Huntsville, TX 77340. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
