He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Hoke and Inez Hoke; his wife Jan Dreesen Hoke; and his siblings, Alice Gresham, Betty Fowler and Donald "Peewee" Hoke.
He is survived by : his brother Pete Hoke; his sister-in-law Sharon Hoke; his children, Joe Hoke Jr., Sissy Byrd and Frank Hoke; his daughter-in-law Lisa; his grandchildren, Morgan, Hoke Byrd, Cade, Beau Hoke, Lauren and Kinsey Hoke; and also Laurie.
