She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Thomas and Bertha Schmidt; her son George Matthews II; her son-in-law Steve Woodard; her husbands, Harry Joseph Hughes and George Matthews; and her brothers, Fred Schmidt and Richard Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Patrick Hughes and Melanie Woodard; her grandchildren, Hannah Horne and George Matthews III; and her brother Paul "Boots" Schmidt (Connie).
