She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Schmidt and Martha Rosse Schmidt; her former husband Rev. Walter W. Koenig, Jr.; her daughter Debra E. Koenig; and her siblings, Carl Schmidt and Kathryn Stevens.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin H. Domel of Hutto; her daughter Karen Mims (Doy) of New Braunfels; her grandchildren, Melanie Spence (Charlie) of San Antonio, Erica Mims Stillwell (Ricky) of Austin and Daniel Mims (Cydni Diaz) of New Braunfels; her great grandchildren, Blake, Bailey, Madelyn Spence and Harrison Stillwell; her stepsons, Stanley Domel of Hutto and Lyndon Domel of Hutto; her stepgrandchildren, William, Megan (Jason Nehring) and Nolan; her stepson Steven Domel (Loretta) of Hutto; her stepgrandchildren, Brandi, Brittney, Steven, Jr. (Jill) and Christa; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kiley, Brantley, Oakley, Kasen, Jace, Jessica, Makaylah, Luke, Adeline and Wyatt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park (6300 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78749). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
