He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kucera and Ellen Kucera; and his siblings, Clarence, Herman, Billy Jo, Larry Kucera and Mildred Hyde.

He is survived by: his wife Billie Kucera; his children, Troy Kucera and Amy Thigpen; and his grandchildren, Blake Thigpen, Megan Thigpen, Kagen Kucera and Emma Kucera.
