He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rector and Doris Rector. He is survived by: his wife Becky; his daughters, Brandy McCuiston, Stephanie Ullman and Elisa Gilp (Corey); his siblings, James "Sonny" Rector (Betsy) and Robin Goen (Jesse); and his grandchildren, Jackson, Kendyln Rector, Kyla Jones, Noah, Brooke, Bryce Ullman and Hensley Gilp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery (9974 I-37 Frontage Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78409). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home (1345 S Commercial St, Aransas Pass, TX 78336).
