She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Jennings Gilbert and Ruth Gilbert; her pet Independence; her husband William "Bill" Hooten; her children, Brian Hooten (Michelle) of Dallas, TX, Chad Hooten (Samantha) of Austin, TX and Lindsey Hooten of Frisco, TX.; her grandchildren, Maggie, Steel and Jack; and her brother Larry Gilbert of Dover, AR..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chism-Smith Funeral Home (403 S Britain Rd, Irving, TX 75060).
