She was predeceased by : her parents, Jacinto Mendez Hernandez and Isidora Garcia Garcia. She is survived by : her sons, Jose Mendez Tovar (Christine), David Mendez Tovar (Melissa) and Abdiaz "A. B."; and her siblings, Pedro Mendez, Beto Mendez, Lauriano Mendez, Isaura, Licha, Lidia, Carmela, Ruth, Aurora and Elda. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
