She was predeceased by: her parents, V. L. Dyess and Zora Dyess (Simpson); and her siblings, Roger Glenn Dyess, Billy V. Dyess, John David Dyess, Paul Wayne Dyess, Margie Nell Morris and Patsy Jane Martin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patsy Grimes of Tyler and Louella Grimes Simmons (George); her close friend Susan Chandler; her siblings, Martha Parsley (Joe) of Troup, Forrest Dyess (Rita) of Rusk and R. S. Dyess of Rusk; her great grandchildren, Jennifer Lea Simmons Jackson, Kevin Lynn Simmons (Kara) and Heather Rene Simmons Velasquez (Marco); and her grandchildren, Emilee Jackson, Talen Velasquez, Sutton Velasquez, Raven Velasquez, Grant and Luke Simmons. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other friends.
