It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Gruber of Jacksonville, Texas, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Gruber; her brother Doug West; her children, Jennifer Swedoski (Mike) of Jacksonville, Kirsten Mathis (Paul) of Denison and Donald Eugene Gruber II (Tereasa) of Wisconsin; and her grandchild Darron Baxter (Christina) of Jacksonville.
She is survived by: her siblings, Lee West (Shirley) of Mt. Gilead, OH and Susan Dea Riley of Ohio; her grandchildren, Tiffany Barber (John), Marjorie Fetty, Devin Mauch, Barrett Gruber, Cade Gruber, Alina Swedoski, Kalan Gruber and Parker Gruber; and her great grandchildren, Ivan Barber, Eugenia Barber and Fay Mauch.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Autry Funeral Home - Jacksonville (1025 E Loop 456, Jacksonville, TX 75766). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Rather than customary condolences, the family requests donations be made to First Methodist Church, 1031 TX-456 Loop, Jacksonville, TX 75766.
