It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lauren LaFleur (Jacksonville, Texas), born in Nederland, Texas, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, father Kenneth LaFleur, stepmother Wanda LaFleur of Lumberton, TX and mother Victoria LaFleur of Jacksonville, TX; and her brother Matthew LaFleur of Nederland, TX. She was also cherished by several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. She also won the hearts and inspired all of her Japanese students whom she taught by interactive video online from her classroom at her home. She excelled in literature having short stories published in the Reader's Digest, working for the Dallas Morning News and Jacksonville Daily Progress newspapers. She recently acquired the position of the English Literature professor at TJC in Tyler, Texas.
