She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Abicht and Ethel Abicht (Cunningham); her husband George Powell, Jr.; and her daughters, Alice Jaurigue and Paula Carlile.
She is survived by: her children, George Powell, III of Jacksonville, Susan Avila (Carlos) of North Carolina and Linda Akin (Willie) of Whitehouse. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
