Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Turner of Jacksonville, Texas, born in Garrison, Texas, who passed away at the age of 88, on October 2, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, H. M. Turner and Marie Turner; his sister Shirley Marie; and his niece Glenna Price. He is survived by: his wife Ester Horton Turner of Jacksonville; his children, Tony (Dawn Turner) of Flint, Texas and Toya (Jason Aultman) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Austin Turner, Dawson Turner, Kelsie Aultman and Landri Aultman; his great grandchild Halee Aultman; and his sisters, JoNell Gruetzmacher of El Paso and Sandra Nichols of Nacogdoches, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Williams Cemetery (16310 State Highway 64E, Tyler, Texas). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (1720 S Bolton St, Jacksonville, TX 75766).
