He is survived by : his wife Theresia Franklin; his daughters, Shunda Gray (Rodney) of Cypress and Kimberly Evans (Brodrick) of Tyler Texas; his grandchildren, Roderick, Nylah, Brayden, Blake and Boston; and his siblings, Stanley Franklin (Cheryl) of Tyler Texas and Audria Battle (Danny) of Houston Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rosewood's Family Tribute Center (536 N Jackson St, Jacksonville, TX 75766). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sweet Union Baptist Church (302 N Main St, Jacksonville, TX 75766). A burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at the Resthaven Cemetery North Pineda (815 N Pineda St, Jacksonville, TX 75766).
