She was predeceased by: her parents, Rena Griffith Barnes and Steve Barnes; her husband George E. Pate; and her siblings, Steve Barnes, Jr., Jack Barnes (Betty), Mary Tomaselli (Deno) and Billie Barnes (Bernice).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Pate Farris (John) of Colmesneil, Debby Pate Madding (Rob) of Jasper and Jan Pate of Nederland; her grandchildren, Tim Farris (Chrystal) of Nederland, Lori Farris Johnson (Steve) of Sour Lake, Kim Chambless McMains (Cory) of Nederland, Clint Chambless (Brooke) of Bridge City, Derek Chambless (Lyndsi) of Bridge City, Lindsey Madding, Wes Moye of Houston and Lauren Grigsby (Jason) of Mont Belvieu; her great grandchildren, Lexi Farris of Fannett, Madeleine Johnson of Sour Lake, Hallie McMains of Nederland, Macie McMains of Nederland, Bayla Johnson of Sour Lake, Emmy Chambless of Bridge City, Ty Chambless of Bridge City, Nash Chambless of Bridge City, Nate Chambless of Bridge City, Izzy Grigsby of Mont Belvieu and Elliott Grigsby of Mont Belvieu; her brother Tommy Barnes (Erma); and her sister-in-law Mary Evelyn Williams.
