He was predeceased by : his father Burton Kenneth Hughes; and his stepfather Cecil B. Mitchell. He is survived by : his mother Mayme B. Retherford Mitchell; his sisters, Sandra Casey and Cecilia Bickham; and his daughter Maliwan. He is also survived by four granddaughters.
