He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Leigh Niemi; his siblings, John R. Barnes, Wayne Barnes and Barbara Hulen; and his parents, John V. Barnes and Meredith Barnes.
He is survived by: his son Branden Niemi (Carrie) of Groesbeck; his grandchildren, Blaze Niemi and Skylynn Niemi; his sister Kelly Barnes Thompson of Cleveland; and his sibling's children, Karen Johnson Holley Barnes, Meredith Jaquay, John Barnes, II, Joshua Thompson and Justin Thompson. He is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home (814 Main St, Jewett, TX 75860). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
