It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florinda G. Alvarado of Jourdanton, Texas, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Alvarado and Margarita Alvarado (Guerra); her siblings, Antonio Alvarado, Jr., Jacinto Alvarado and Emma Brown; and her grandchildren, Valerie Escalera and Tommy Escalara.
She is survived by: her sons, Juan Escalera (Johnni) and Oscar Escalara; her grandchildren, Johnny Joe Escalera (Dawn), John Escalara, Krystal Escalera, Oscar Escalera, Jr. and Lynette Escalera; and her siblings, Arturo Alvarado (Angelita) and Sally Rodriguez (Roger). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
