She is survived by: her children, Emily Montgomery, Alexis McKnight and Ethan McKnight; her siblings, Terrilyn Eldridge of Metairie, LA, Simeon Mitchell (Tami) of Sumrall, MS and Heidi Diecedue (Joey) of Baton Rouge, LA; her aunt Gloria Hughes; her uncles, John Hughes, Michael Hughes and Rodney Mitchell; her siblings' children, Elizabeth Mitchell, Christian Mitchell, Julien, Roman and Adrian Diecedue; her great-nephew Zachary; and her parents, Janet Mitchell and Kenneth Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Saving Hope Rescue in Ft. Worth, Texas.
