It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George D. Childs of Kennard, Texas, born in Crockett, Texas, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Sylvanus George Childs and Leela Lucille Pool Childs; his brother Glayse Childs; his sister-in-law Ruth Childs; and his nephew George Michael Childs.

He is survived by : his wife Martha Childs of Kennard; and his grandchildren, James Allen Pickens, Wyatt Glazier (Shelby), Maddisen Glazier, Jordan Miller, Sarah Alfred, Caleb Anderson, Hannah Alfred, Caleb Alfred and Morgan Harris. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
