Christopher Wesley Rushing Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christopher Wesley Rushing of Kermit, Texas, who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Christopher had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Christopher may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Rushing and Melba M. Rushing; and his grandson Nathan Lindsey. He is survived by: his fiancée Donna Egger of Kermit, TX; his children, Cody Rushing of Kermit, TX, Crystal Rushing of Gray, TX and Monica Rushing-Hightower (Ross) of Lamesa, TX; and his siblings, Gerald Rushing (Bobbie) of Oil City, LA and Regina Rushing of Oil City, LA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Vivian United Pentecostal Church (902 S Pecan St, Vivian, LA 71082).
