He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Edward, Dorothy Carney, Dr. Munroe and Muriel Palestrant; and his uncle Robert Carney.

He is survived by: his parents, Michael Palestrant and Doreen Palestrant of Kerrville, TX; his siblings, Leah Palestrant (Kent Smith) of Johnstown, Ohio and Jason (Amanda) of Galloway, Ohio; his aunts and uncles, Kathleen Reiss (Robert), Edward Carney (Mary Ann) of New York, Eileen Brzozowski (John) of Texas, Timothy Carney (Liz) of New York, Kevin Carney and Gary Palestrant (Elena) of Ohio; his siblings' children, Chase, Issiah, Eliana and Noah Palestrant; and his pets, Bear, Sprite and Kiwi.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tivy Athletic Booster Club.
